Online Bible Study

The Bible has to be one of the greatest books that hardly anyone ever actually reads. Vast numbers of us claim to “believe in the Bible”, however when sociologists study us it turns out an embarrassing number of us confuse John, Paul, George, and Ringo with Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. This is where Access comes in. Access is a series of brief, humorous introductions to every book of the Bible led by Pastor Ken and our former pastoral resident Nicole Reibe, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Church History at Boston College.

The Bible really isn’t a single book, but a library filled with little books – each of them written by a different community in different contexts and with varying concerns. With Access Ken and Nicole will introduce each book offering a short, understandable guide to the language, the context, and they will lift out three key verses that provide you with a basic grasp of Genesis to Revelation. Paired with the videos is a short outline giving you a written synopsis as well. And if you are intimidated…sometimes they use puppets and action figures to make a point. (Ok, Ken mainly uses them, and normally it’s more silly than thought provoking, but that has it’s place, too.)
